BFTG has been busy!

One Weekend Only in Banff with AWOLNATION(SAIL!) went off and at the risk of editorializing, I can say BFTG and everyone at Wild Bills had a quite the fucking great time. 

Our shows this past weekend in Edmonton and Calgary just went off, especially at our favourite downtown watering hole Local 522 with all our friends! We're stoked to get after it again soon while we mix our first full length record! 

Big thanks to our pals Frankie Mcqueen and Needles to Vinyl! Also Thanks to X929 and AWOLNATION for some mountain music party time. And also thanks to Sean Kincade for being one hell of a sound man!

Burchill & BFTG 

We at BFTG are proud to announce that the record is tracked and in the mixing process as we speak.  After taking 7 days to track the record at a hidden gem of a location on the side of a mountain by a lake, the band took a small break and pursued some much needed relaxation time.  However, it's show season now!

We are excited to announce that we will be playing One Weekend Only in Banff, AB with AWOLNATION and Death From Above 1979 on November 19th.  This is an exclusive event that you can only win your way into so pester your favorite radio station dj at X 92.9 in Calgary for tickets.

We are also playing a show at one of our favorite intimate venues in Calgary, Local 522 on December 2nd with good friends Frankie McQueen and Edmonton's own Needles to Vinyl (See our 'shows' section for more details).  Also, we are working on a show date for Edmonton so stay tuned all of you Northern Alberta fans.

There will be an opportunity to preview a track or two from the new album so stay tuned to our social networking sites (twatter, facebook) for your chance to hear some new material before the rest of the world!

It has been a good few weeks for us with 'Texas T' moving strong across Canada's radiowaves from the far West coast of Victoria to the far East coast of Halifax.  We are currently pushing to head into the studio September 17th to begin tracking the new record which is sounding very bluesy, dirty, and rock and roll. 

The music video for Texas T is in the pre-production phases as we figure out all of the semantics involved in the direction we want to take it....its a pretty cool concept so stay tuned!

A big shout out to all of the MD's across Canada who have been spinning us and fans who have been following us as well; we are forever grateful.

In terms of shows, we have the 2011 Xposure wrap up party happening August, 26th in Calgary, tickets are $10 and it should be one hellofa night!

Brendan Palenikana and the Sr. Big Fish

BFTG have been hard at work hammering down the pre - production for their up and coming full length LP.  Recording should commence sometime in late August to early September which will be followed by a Western Canada/Northern USA tour in the Fall.

This week the lads are heading up to performe a showcase for New Music West in Edmonton, AB at the Pawn Shop which will be followed by a home show in Calgary, AB at the Palomino on July 23rd with old friend Sidney York (who gave BFTG their first show!) and Vancouver's own 41st and Home.

We've been keeping our heads down lately, working on new songs and perfecting some old ones. Spring is here, and we're ramping up for a big summer! Got some plans in the works....
